Dr Lakshmi Narayanan (Dr LN) is the first of the few exclusive Paediatric Neurology DM qualified doctors in Tamil Nadu. He completed specialist training in Paediatrics and Paediatric Neurology at the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.

Dr Lakshmi Narayanan is a Senior Consultant Pediatric Neurologist and Epilepsy Specialist working in Chennai. He has rich experience of working in many diverse backgrounds in New Delhi (6 years) and Melbourne, Australia (2 years) and Chennai (6 years). Treating children with epilepsy has been his passion. Dr LN has treated many children with complex and difficult to treat epilepsies and super refractory status epilepticus. Additionally, he has vast experience in treating children with anti NMDA-R and sero-negative autoimmune encephalitis, a rare treatable disorder.

Being one of the well qualified and skilled paediatric epileptologists (epilepsy specialist doctors), Dr LN’s special area of interest includes complex epilepsy surgeries to cure uncontrolled epilepsy among children. Dr LN previously worked at the Children’s Epilepsy Program at The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH), Melbourne, Australia as Epilepsy Fellow for two years.  Thus, he is actively involved in stereo-EEG  implantation of MRI negative epilepsy patients and epilepsy surgery from infancy to adults, across the age groups. Remarkably, Dr LN is a passionate teacher who is routinely involved in teaching EEG and video-EEG for neurologists and pediatric neurologists in India and South Asia.

 Dr LN  delivered many lectures and platform presentations in National and International Conferences. He has published many high quality Research papers in well reputed International Journals including BRAIN and Annals of Neurology.
